Martin Heyck

Martin Heyck was born in 1983 in a small town in north of Germany. For the first time he went fishing as a three year old boy with his father. At the age of eight he saw a man flyfishing at the lake in his hometown and from that day on he knew " that`s it"! He saved all his pocket money and worked as a newspaper carrier. Finally, one year later, he could buy his first fly rod, a 10' #9. He taught himself to cast and he made his first experiences with fishing for pike and bass.

As a 15 year old boy he started fishing in the Baltic Sea .And you can trust him, sea trout is the fish of 1000 casts! The moment he finally caught one, he couldn`t stop!

Meanwhile he can look back on 13 years of fishing in the sea. But fishing in the sea is not always possible cause of storm or to bad weather conditions, so he started fishing in rivers of Germany, Denmark and Norway, always looking for sea trouts and salmon.

Flyfishing is not just a hobby for me, it´s my way of life.
